PEAVI has been a resource for Victoria-area editors and their clients since 1995. If you are a professional editor in the Victoria area, you may want to come to a meeting and join us.

Mission

The Professional Editors Association of Vancouver Island provides a network of support services for its members and serves as a professional resource to the wider community. To fulfill its mission, the association:

How to join PEAVI

PEAVI members include freelance and in-house editors, writers, proofreaders, project managers, and communications specialists. Some are award winners; all are editorial professionals.

Dues are $45 per year, payable at the September meeting.

Contact the Membership coordinator for details, or visit a meeting. The $5 drop-in charge will be deducted from your membership dues if you decide to join.

PEAVI meetings

The Professional Editors Association of Vancouver Island (PEAVI) meets on the third Monday of every month between September and June.

Meetings are held in the evening and usually have the following format:

7:00 Welcome and introductions

7:10 Association business and announcements

7:30 Professional development, e.g., speaker, editors' roundtable, member presentation

8:40 Refreshments and networking
