68th Venice Film Festival

The
line-up of the
68th Venice Film Festival has been announced on Thursday July 28th. The official selection of the festival includes the sections, Venezia 68 (In Competition), Out of Competition, Orizzonti and Controcampo Italiano, alongide a retrospective section and two autonomous sections (International Critics' Week and Venice Days). The
daily schedule of screenings will be announced
after August 15th.

The Ides of March by George Clooney, opening film
The Ides of March, the highly anticipated new film written & directed by George Clooney, will be the
opening film – in Competition – at the 68th Venice International Film Festival.
The official line-up of the 68th Venice Film Festival will be announced during the official press conference to take place in Rome, at the end of July.

Awards: Marco Bellocchio and Al Pacino
Marco Bellocchio will receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 68. Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Marco Müller.
Legendary American actor and director
Al Pacino is the recipient of the
Jaeger-Le Coultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award, a prize of the Film Festival created in collaboration with Jaeger-Le Coultre.
